Chris Reeve is a Superman legend but after failure on top of failure that has been Superman movies since 1983, the DCU needed a reboot and Superman leads the charge by James Gunn’s pen and vision played by David Corenswet. David was a beath of fresh air and he isn’t bragging and boasting and his version of Superman is an amazing portrayal.
Chris may be a legend but David brings something new to the table. I’m assuming he takes a bit from every preceding Superman actor but makes the character his own. He’s youthful and believable and doesn’t just do what his predecessors have done. He’s as real as they come and I hope that his future portrayals are as good as his in 2025.
